Academic publishing giant Elsevier have announced the forthcoming launch of a new open access multi-disciplinary scientific journal, calling for researchers to adopt a new collaborative and open source ethos.
Dr. Claudia Lupp will take on the role of Editor-in-chief in the as-yet-unnamed journal, and most of the journal technologists and developments will be based out of Elsevier’s new center in London’s Tech City.
The journal will be developed in close collaboration with the scientific research community, and the digital platform strives to enable continual experimentation and innovation. By decreasing peer review times and offering open access to the entire scientific community, Elsevier are hoping to improve the end-to-end publishing process and provide the scientific community with an efficient and transparent publication process.
